I have been in private practice for over twenty years, working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are depression and anxiety disorders, grief counseling, issues related to chronic illness and teaching effective parenting strategies.
In addition, I have presented at workshops and to general audiences on topics ranging from effective parenting to the social and emotional needs of gifted children. I have also presented on adjustment issues that accompany divorce and widowhood. I am a participating member of The Soldiers Project, an organization that provides free psychological services for military service members and their families. I have completed a program in Post-Combat Behavioral Health through Alliant International University.
I am a practical and interactive therapist. I provide support and feedback so that clients may resolve present problems and unhealthy patterns of behavior. I use a variety of conventional approaches and tailor each treatment plan to the particular needs of the individual client.
I have been actively involved in public education in Los Angeles for over twenty years and have expertise in the area of gifted education and the social and emotional needs of gifted children. I enjoy traveling, literature, movies, nature and spending time with my family.
